Ready for the Weekend

What a way to start my weekend. A nearly competed kitchen nook, fresh flowers, and my Cold Season tea. Unfortunately I've come down with a sore throat which I've been battling all week. So, I've settled into our over-sized couch for the night to watch my manly man put together our new kitchen table and chairs. For once I'm not the handyman in this household - feels pretty nice!

Tea time! My cold season tea has been soothing my throat all evening and I can't help but love the inspiring messages on the yogi tea tags.

Hoping to feel better tomorrow. I'm off to up the level of blonde of my hair and then Pottery Barn outlet out on the eastern side of things to (hopefully) pick up our kitchen cart. Score of the week.

The Gnarly Whale: Beach Waves and Detangler

Very excited to get my hands on my newest purchase: Vegan Detangler and Beach Waves from The Gnarly Whale. This 100% vegan and cruelty-free line based in Wisconsin is completely my type of thing. The amazing and unique name is way too much fun to pass up too; I can never . I love that they use recycled paper for packaging and that it is run my husband and wife, Ashley and Nathan. I can't wait til my delivery gets here so I can try out my new goodies.

Made with natural ingredients, there are hair products, lip balms, body sprays, soaps, scrubs, and face toners. The scents conjure up good images too: Sandalwood, Somalian Rose, Coconut Lime, Thai Coconut, and more. I decided on Thai Coconut hoping it'll bring some summer into my life. Dreaming of Summer: Design Inspiration

I love the magical feeling that summer brings. Warm nights, gorgeous sunsets, colorful cocktails, and tanned skin. The winter seems to be never-ending here on the east coast and all I can think about is putting these cold days behind me so I can drive around with the windows down. Montauk here I come!

Looking forward to long summer days has me itching to set up my backyard for all those outdoor parties. I'm thinking blues, browns, and pops of color.

Happy Birthday Lindsay

Yesterday was one of my best friends and co-workers birthdays. While her birthday was on a Wednesday, the real festivities are coming this weekend, but we had a little celebration at work to celebrate the actual day. A spread of cheese, cupcakes, fruit, wine, and sparkling grape juice was laid out and we celebrated the last hour and a half of the work day. Happy Birthday to my my most favorite NY friend.
